I can't believe how easy the install was! Screw two L brackets into the top corners, add shadows and screw in two wing nut screws, done! Lowering the canopy is literally as easy as grabbing the bottom center and pulling down. Installation is just as easy, place your hand under the bottom center and press up. I put off buying a roman shade for years fearing it would be difficult to manage, but it was one of the easiest things I've ever installed. and I have done many house renovations with my own hands. My bathroom window gets all the sun that heats up the room. During the holidays, my neighbors' Christmas lights light up my bathroom. I only installed this in March so I can't speak for the Christmas lights but I can say the sun isn't heating my bathroom anymore. If in doubt, just get started!
