I am an avid kayak fisherman. I often ride boats that are often covered in mud due to the vibrations of the water, making them very slippery at times. Too often I found myself in a horizontal position and covered in mud. I grabbed them hoping the tread would provide better traction. I love these shoes. I have had them for two months now and they have been used many times on rivers and lakes. Traction is great. The sole is thick but flexible which makes it very comfortable in my pedal kayak. Lightweight, breathable and quick drying. They drain well and keep most of the dirt off the shoe. They fit as expected, maybe a little longer than usual, but we're talking 1/4 inch of extra toe room. I like that my water shoes fit snugly. I recommend them. With heavy use, they look like they'll hold up well.
