I had to cut the plastic bumpers to fit my Dell XPS 17 but I did it on my kitchen chopping board with a swiss army knife (short blade) and it was as easy as slicing cheese . Bumpers contain some clay, making them tougher, cheaper, easier to cut, and less sticky. They don't fit their holes perfectly, so add some glue if that bothers you. I'm very happy with the overall look of this thing and it works for me on one of my desks where I don't use my laptop. as an additional display. It's very solid, square and flat, and it even has a little Eiffel Tower that I gave to my son who gave it to his girlfriend.
