Review on πŸ’¨ Efficient Dust Collection Fittings: POWERTEC 70125 4-Inch Pipe Hose Adapter - ABS Plastic Quick Coupler for Workshop, in Black by Jay Arnold

It works if your other inputs are correct.

PVC sewer pipes come in two gauges. The regular material is .090 inch thick and is usually white in color. There is also a thicker type, often green, with a wall thickness of .127 inches. If your PVC pipe (NOT ABS) is the thinner version, the smaller end of the adapter will fit onto the sewer pipe as directed. I had no luck with the other end to fit my hose. I only have an unknown brand of hose, but it fits my table saw's factory dust collector as well as the 4" end of the Powertec 70136 4"x2-1/2" reducer, so I have to assume my hose has a fairly normal outside diameter. The outside diameter of the adapter is 3-61/64" and fits snugly on the inside of the large end of the 70125 adapter, so I'm not sure how the large end is supposed to fit onto a 4" hose. Large End The 70125 adapter is sized at 4-7/32" which is too large for a 4" hose. Luckily, the larger end is a similar size to the inside diameter of 4" PVC splices and curls. I secured it by putting a layer of blue painter's tape on the adapter and using a zip tie to secure the hose to the smaller end. Each port in my dust collection system is covered with blue masking tape so it can be replaced if necessary. I would rate the item "not as described" but still saw it could be useful.
