2004 Yukon 2wd 150,000 miles

Yukon 2004 2wd 4.8L 150,000 miles. The slots were somehow damaged. They must have been hit hard at some point because half from the top (steering gear side) was pushed hard into the hole. The part will not hold. I had to use needle files to change their shape. After 30 minutes of editing, it finally fitted onto the steering gear. Taking the old one off was a pretty horrible experience if you're interested in doing it yourself. I alternately used a bar puller with an air gun and a 4 lb sledgehammer and ended up with a really long pry bar and lots of punching/swearing. 3 stars for damaged splines. The steering feel has been greatly improved.
