Description of MOOG Chassis Products K6536 Pitman

Problem Solver powdered metal gusher bearing design enables grease to flow through the bearing to the stud for reduced friction and enhanced strength and stability. Moog engineered steel composition results in a stronger component. Greaseable socket design allows new lubricant to flush contaminants from the assembly, reducing corrosion and wear. Loose or worn chassis parts can lead to premature tire wear.

It worked but - Pitman Arms

I was able to replace it but this replacement may not have had the same tolerances as the original Pittman arm! Installing the new ones was more difficult than removing the old ones! I'm 100% sure it's aligned! Because I had to take it off to make sure the 4 wide slots lined up! So get ready for the projection! It took me 2 days to find the right tool that had enough power to pull the old one out and over 150 pounds of torque to land this one! I would have sent it back, but it had to be back on

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Nice sturdy part, only it doesn't fit in the steering.

Bought for my 2003 Z71 Silverado. Nice solid piece, only it doesn't fit on the steering shaft. Press 1/4 inch and stop. Splines and cleaned every nine yards. Still doesn't fit. I've read that some people just leave it on until you get it and then wind it up. For me it changes everything and is insecure. or generally correct. Went to GM Stelership and bought an AC Delco lever and everything went great. Do a little research on this bipod lever and save yourself time in the long run. Used Moog…

Pros
  • Quality construction

2004 Yukon 2wd 150,000 miles

Yukon 2004 2wd 4.8L 150,000 miles. The slots were somehow damaged. They must have been hit hard at some point because half from the top (steering gear side) was pushed hard into the hole. The part will not hold. I had to use needle files to change their shape. After 30 minutes of editing, it finally fitted onto the steering gear. Taking the old one off was a pretty horrible experience if you're interested in doing it yourself. I alternately used a bar puller with an air gun and a 4 lb…

Buyers should exercise caution with replacement parts

I ordered this along with the intermediate arm and intermediate arm bracket (all Moog) for my 2002 GMC Sierra. Moog makes great products and that's all I use in my cars or cars I work on for friends. This item was in a Moog box when it was published, but is not a Moog product. Looks like a stock GM drop arm that someone tried to restore. This has happened to me with other parts of Revain and I'm a little frustrated. I disassembled the truck, ordered a quick shipment of parts and now I need to…

Pros
  • Loose or worn undercarriage parts can cause premature tire wear

  • Dull packaging

Pitman's Good Hand, Day 1; 2 years later = junk weight

UPDATE: I originally gave this bipod arm a 5 star rating. Two years later, THE DAY after I ordered this part, guess what broke on my Tahoe. Yes, the miner's hand. First impressions were great but after less than 20,000km I was very disappointed with the quality. I heard popping noises when reversing and spinning the wheel, so I lifted the wheels and shook them. The only place where there is a game? The pitman.Moog pen used to be a popular brand used by everyone. I haven't read anything about it

Pros
  • Moog structural steel connection makes component stronger
Cons
  • Slightly cracked
