After years of pondering how much gray water was in my aquarium I installed them. After about 6 months of use they are still working great. In fact, this is too short a period for a comprehensive assessment as more and more crude oil accumulates in the tanks over time. After all, inferior brands also work, at least for a while. The gray tank was our absolute limiting factor when requesting services. This gray tank fills up faster than we empty our fresh water tank, and we can usually start the generator when we need to recharge the batteries. Only if the gray tank sensors are working do we have an extra day before we have to call customer service. This saves us a ton of money by paying for these sensors many, many times over! (The gray tank is about half the size of a fresh tank, and we never collect much in an empty tank. Another option, pumping gray water into an unused volume of the black tank, buys us an extra day or two before services are needed (But to do that we need to know the exact levels in the tanks. Those sensors make this mod a smart option!) I'm amazed I don't find MANY complaints about tank sensor issues. For me, that was perhaps the biggest "unsolved, unnecessary problemโ of motorhome living. Maybe there's a miracle solution I've never found, or maybe everyone just installs this? I haven't found any confirmation of this. So far this product has been such a solution for me that has taken a frustration out of living in an RV. (It annoys me because we're being sold a product that definitely doesn't work properly. It's irresponsible.)
