Review on πŸ“± Huawei P40 Lite JNY-LX1 International Version - 128GB Crush Green, Dual 4G and 6GB RAM by Mateusz Dbkowski ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

As such, there are no disadvantages, it is convenient to use.

Those who write "Google services are not needed" or "I got used to it in two days", either never used Google services sufficiently, or are disingenuous. You can get used to the lack of one leg or find pleasure in using prostheses, but it still will not be an equivalent replacement. Huawei AppGallery currently cannot be compared with the Play Store, although it is trying to position itself on an equal footing. The number of available applications is significantly less, ates come later. In some applications installed through AppGallery, the error Won't run without Google Services crashes (for example, the Alfa-Bank application). Another nuance: if the application is initially tied to Google maps, you will not be able to use it in whole or in part. Examples: Uber (full) and Telegram (geolocation sharing). The wishlist did not show itself in any way for three months - not a single application from the desired ones became available. Petal Search is just an ad-filled redirect to apkpure. AppGo is a little better, but still not a cake. And in general, this is not the best user experience - looking for options for installing the necessary programs, installing third-party app stores and shamanizing with a tambourine. If you previously had a subscription or purchase of an application through the Play Store - say goodbye to it. The option of installing Google services on 4pd has already been covered, so you should not count on it. If there are adherents among the readers, I can assure them: there are enough applications of this company in the AppGallery, but, in my opinion, . Disk is not able to replace Google Photos, and . Taxi (now . Go) is a Frankenstein monster that can be opened scary. The P40Lite will stay with me until my scheduled phone change in a year and a half, but if the state of affairs with applications does not improve during this time, then my next device will no longer be Huawei / Honor.

Pros
  • Battery. Fast charging in an hour (with native cable and power supply), long use (2-3 days in working mode). Camera for photos, in particular the night mode. Not perfect, but better than most. EMUI is a pretty shell, with its small amenities and features. The screen is decent, there is a lot of space, the picture is pleasant. The price for such iron is quite low.
Cons
  • Camera for video. Yes, it is clear that the video stabilization was given to the older model, but we are not talking about the reasons here, but about the actual shortcomings, right? I didn’t catch at what exact moment, but one day the ability to select the photo resolution stupidly disappeared from the camera settings; Huawei replied that the piece of iron is smart, it will figure it out on its own. Not critical, but such an attitude strained. The fingerprint scanner in the unlock button is personally inconvenient for me and does not always work. I don’t use films, I keep my fingers in accordance with all the rules. The lack of Google services and undeveloped alternatives to them is the biggest drawback.
