Ordered two hubs for my 2009 F350. They corresponded to the exchanged hubs in all respects and I had no problems installing them. The situation is different with the slots for fuse sockets. Both Timkin hubs had tapered splines. The locks only spline about 1/4 inch before tying. Tested with both a truck mounted hub with a half shaft and without a shaft from a bogie, and with both locks. Same results. Tried snapping in old hubs and some new Moog brand hubs and had no problems. My guess is that the tools used to cut the splines in making them wore out due to identical defects in two separate assemblies.
