For the price I can't complain. They are exactly as pictured, even with carbon marble on the blades. They come with heavy duty black sheaths to protect you and the knife. It's not the sharpest knife I've worked with, but it's sharp enough to slice through a very ripe tomato without damage, slice raw chicken like butter, and chop raw onions. As with all knives, I highly recommend hand washing this set to prolong its life. The balance point is near the base where the blade meets the handle, so this is a fairly balanced cookware. This is a plastic handle, so keep it away from heat sources such as the stove. I'm pretty picky about my kitchen knives as dull/chipped knives are more dangerous than very sharp knives. They stand up to everyday use and washing in a student apartment!
