It looked like a great dehydrator and I think it could be, but on my first try I had several trays with food well dried and other veggies still wet. If you have trays of the same items next to or next to each other and drying them at wildly different speeds, something is wrong. Which I'm thinking, and I'm not an expert on this, but it seems that those with wet veggies may be letting warm air in and preventing the slices from drying properly. The rubber pads around some of the parts could allow warm air to circulate inside the dehydrator instead of escaping to the outside. It might be a great dehydrator, but skins that don't dry well mean something is wrong.
