I use one of these to adjust the height of the router and router table, the height of the table saw blade etc and have been very happy with the tool. So much so that I bought a few more of them. They're made out of plastic, but it's a fairly durable material and I haven't had any issues with it warping or breaking. This material won't damage carbide or HSS blades if you're not careful with it, so I honestly think it's probably the best choice for the intended use. It's very accurate and well thought out. You can adjust the height of the drill on the router table so that it is vertical and position it horizontally and adjust the fence to expose the correct part of the drill. This is very practical and significantly reduces the effort involved in setting up the router table. Great product at a fair price.
