Review on FolkArt Home Decor Chalk Furniture & Craft Paint – Assorted Colors 16oz, Clear Wax by Heather Shaw

I'm no expert on sealing wax paint, but I was able to completely ruin a freshly chalked table with this product. Obviously I used too much but it was hard for me to tell. It seemed too thick to use with a brush but thin to rub off. I ended up leaving too much wax in the crevices and as the wax dried it left an ugly yellow residue where there was excess. I was so frustrated that I didn't try white spirit right away (I've read it can help solve problems), so maybe if I'd been faster it would have worked. In any case, all I have to do is wait for the wax to set and then start with a fresh coat of chalk paint. I've tried sanding down the sticky areas, but I've read that you shouldn't smear the paint or it will leave noticeable areas after it's done. I could be that too, but I'd prefer it to be more watery, in which case I'd apply it very thinly with a brush or thickly like wax so you can see or feel what's left on the surface. This wax is inexpensive, but I'm willing to pay more for something more comfortable.
