I had a bad bottom ball joint on my 2001 Toyota RAV-4 with 350,000 miles which caused my car to shake on the freeway like my grandma after the fourth glass of wine but without all the racist twaddle about minorities and "kids today". Removing the old part can be extremely difficult and is known by some tribes as the right to manhood. Here's a tip: Partially remove the hub from the car (remove the strut mount), push the axle out (there's a tool for that), then slide the axle out of the way. Lightly connect the hub to the post and you now have room to fit a giant cheater and 19mm socket onto that old ball joint and crank it around like a teenager. This can take a lot of torque, especially if your cotter pin was just as rusted down to the threads as mine. There is a tie rod puller tool called the GearWrench 3916D that makes it insanely easy to pull the old ball joint out of the hole. Use it. This new part of ACDelco has performed better than expected. It doesn't look like the photos (no pretty brass nuts or grease fittings) but they made it look wonderful in a couple of important ways. The main castle nut on top is thicker than the original, it's a 22mm straight nut instead of a 19mm flank, and the rubber boot looks thicker than the old one. Everything went smoothly. Only time will tell if it really is a quality part.
