Review on Elmer's ProBond Woodfiller, Brown, 32 oz. Product P9892 by Hector Nito

Fills LARGE holes and cracks in decking

hasn't been used long enough to call it durability, but it cures faster than regular Elmers wood filler. the pros had a slightly stiffer consistency, so i was able to fill the holes in my deck with just one container. It took 2 containers of the non-pro version and the non-recommended outdoor version, and it didn't hold up to the rain over time. I had soil erosion in my yard which allowed water to seep under my decking which was installed (by me) on a 2x4 as a ground level deck in 2007. then the yard was fine, full of grass, and there was no erosion or water runoff. after 10 years with dogs there was no grass and no soil erosion - despite the french canal i dug in 2016 - water seeped under and destroyed the 2x4 in places, eventually rotting the wood on the underlying boards. This product sucks but I can't afford a new deck so $25 (for 2) would be enough. If he does what he says - and if the wall I built in the yard to stop further erosion work - it will prevent the boards from cracking further and the wood from additional rot this winter protection. I've also had the misfortune of trying Behr's product which destroyed the protective coating of the stain and as a result the deck boards are now chipping and rotting. Luckily, a second container can help with this. Elmers is back to the rescue! **A photo shows where I had to replace some parts of the circuit board that were water damaged from underneath. I don't recommend this, but I couldn't remove the screws to replace the entire board.
