August 31st 2021 UPDATE: I can no longer recommend these straws because they come in such a flimsy flimsy box. The second time I ordered it, it was sent with a flimsy postal envelope instead of protective outer packaging. Result: the box of straws was broken and all the straws fell out of the envelope. We could no longer consider them clean enough for hygienic use, so we had to throw them all away. What a waste! I will receive a refund but will not be ordering this large box of paper straws from this manufacturer again as they do not use protective packaging. ---------------------- ------------------ "There is nothing to say about these paper straws, other than the fact that they seem to be stronger than others I've tried straight out of the box and they hold up. good in chilled drinks. I have no reason to try them in hot drinks, but I assume they soften quickly in such conditions. These straws are white, which wasn't a requirement for me as I assume they've been bleached in some way, but they don't affect the taste of the drinks I've used them in. They seem perfect to me, a good choice for those looking for durable paper straws.
