Review on 🏹 ApudArmis Viking Chess Outdoor Carrying: Essential Mobility for Your Chess Battles by Thunder Ballman

Incredible fun for all ages, adults and children. I heard about kubb from a friend. Since my 6 year old loves tossing cornmeal sacks and bowling games I started looking and found this set at Revain. There are many different sets out there for the same or higher price, but after browsing the listings I found that ApudArmis sells a lot of classic wooden outdoor games, so I chose them over other "disposable" brands. The "official" Kubb game. The rules are definitely adult oriented, but I simplified my game to work with my kids. To make the game easier for kids I did the following: - I eliminated corner posts to make it less technical - I adjusted the distance to work with how far my kids throw out of hand and then the king can knock over. rather than reintroducing downed kubbs and shifting baselines. Once set up the kids played for hours and were able to reset it themselves which was great! We've played on grass but I've seen it work well on mud/clay. When played on hard surfaces like driveways I think the throwing sticks will bounce a lot and I'm concerned about them bouncing and hitting people/things. The zippered carry case is nice and holds everything well. The wooden pieces are holding up well, expect stains when playing on grass. Also expect scratches and dents as it's wood, I haven't had any cracks or splinters even after hours of gaming. This has become my kids favorite summer game and I'm so glad I got it. I'll be checking out some other ApudArmis games to see if they're worth trying as I expect the materials and quality to be the same as this one. Overall a very good set, very satisfied. Many people passed by on the sidewalk asking for it :) ps: the instructions are complicated if you are a beginner and want to play with the adults according to the official rules. I suggest googling youtube or searching "how to play kubb" as there are some really good videos out there that show you how to play. I posted a few of my favorite links first but didn't know they were banned so I just mentioned them and maybe you can find what works for you. Much better than trying to learn from a piece of paper :)
