Surface must be covered with clay before use. Nice light shine. It lasts about 5-6 months in the Hawaiian sun. And my cars are 99% protected. Easy to turn on. And I don't have a ceramic coating. I use it as a standalone sealer. I've been using this product for about a year now. Very satisfied. So good I bought the gallon size. Jeff
