Frustrated by the high cost of my favorite mineral makeup, I decided to make it myself using a recipe I found on the Wellness Mama blog. This was the author's recommended product (among others). It comes in a small jar but you only use a little (1-2 teaspoons depending on your batch size) so I expect it will last a few months for my purposes. The color is white without a yellow tinge, shines. I was really surprised by the amount of glitter or sequins in it and worried it would be too bright in my makeup, but after adding other ingredients and applying it to my face, the glitter/sparkle is not very noticeable and it just provides a nice shimmering effect - nothing too flashy. This was my first time doing mineral makeup and while I still play with color levels for my skin tone I was very happy with the results and will definitely do more in the future.
