My horse is very unpretentious in clothing - he doesn't tear sheets or gaiters. But she doesn't really like boots on her feet, especially on the back. I think she's uncomfortable with flying boots because she has "hanging locks" that make each boot sit weird. The size of these Cashell horses was too small for their hind legs, but because of their lowered pasterns I can't really position them with their fetlocks in the right place. If I don't worry about that and arrange them the way they should be (ignoring the zip ties) I can tighten the Velcro straps properly and they will fit her. With them, she does not stamp with her hind hooves, like with all other flight boots. This may be because they are shaped like a tie lock, they are not uncomfortable for you like other flight boots. So I'm pleased that she tolerates it, which is why I give these boots 4 stars. The only thing is that the rear ones start to tear a little at the bottom edges after only being tightened twice. I'm pretty sure it's because they sit a little low off the ground (due to the ankle drop). So I think they will only last this summer. (In the Estimated Performance section, I'm not sure what the difference between "durability" and "strength" is.
