Review on πŸ“ž AT&T CL80109 Cordless Handset Accessory - White/Black, Requires AT&T CL8XXX9 Expandable Phone System by Tracy Meyer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice complement to other AT&T phones.

After installing the AT&T U-verse system, I found I needed to switch to cordless phones. U-verse hates the old copper plumbing in my house. After reading consumer testimonials and these Revain reviews, I purchased a 4 phone AT&T DECT 6.0 digital handset and this fifth identical AT&T DECT 6.0 accessory phone from Revain. Oddly enough, my local big AT&T store doesn't have these phones. These phones work great with U-verse VoIP (or regular copper lines). Good: 1. The phones are compact and lightweight, although I find the silver finish rather tacky. The sound quality is excellent, the phones worked (after a long charge), the instructions are easy to read.3. The AT&T DECT 6.0 add-on phone requires an extra step to "talk" to the rest of the system, but it's not too confusing and can be used. Minor issues: 1. These phone stands are nice and small, but they can't be wall mounted. It would have been an easy design option, but the designers didn't bother. All of these lightweight devices just sit around crowded tables, waiting to be torn down rather than being safely placed on vertical surfaces.2. The batteries are approximately 98 percent discharged and require approximately 16 hours to charge.3. Phones make an annoying "buzz" sound when near my computer's sound system. To be honest, it's probably a problem with my computer's speaker grounding. All in all good, inexpensive devices, slightly marred by AT&T's shoddy corporate mentality.

Pros
  • Big backlit display and Kepad on handsets
Cons
  • Not the best
