Functionality at a price

This gauge set is suitable for the average handyman. Previously, I used shop quality Robinaire gauge sets in my line of work. Yes, they were heavier and intended for everyday shop use. This gauge set is lightweight. After unpacking, check all O-rings in the ports. This should be the standard procedure for any gauge set. The O-rigs were all in place. The gauges were properly calibrated, the hoses were sealed well, and the couplers connected and disconnected from the car's service valves without incident. If you "bully" that set of sensors (throw them in a toolbox or on the ground), you're likely to break something on them. But based on common sense I think it will suffice for my personal use. If you work in a garage mechanic, this is a good starter kit for you. Then, if your budget allows, buy a more expensive set and borrow that if someone wants to borrow it. Easy maintenance: lubricate O-rings regularly, check hoses for cuts, nicks and abrasions For the price, it does the job.
