Like every other review I've read about those crappy Chinese Mercruiser clones 8M6000623, this one is no exception! One of the two I bought showed 14psi with the engine off (i.e. 0psi) and the other showed 41psi! 41 psi triggered a high pressure alarm. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a replacement for the original part at a ridiculous price. Well almost not, I bought two used freshwater motor units off eBay (hot tip). Also, I tried hydrochloric acid on my bad OEM, corrosion came out of the hole, but the unit didn't get back to work (sigh).
