I've used rubber for brakes for the past three years because I valued its resiliency and predictability. It accelerates quickly, maneuvers at high speeds with sporting precision, and has remarkably self-assured behavior despite having been in the rain several times. In many intercity situations, rubber is comfortable in every way: the joints are supple, the corners don't roll, and the sidewall is sturdy. There is almost audible noise, but the tires are pleasant.
