I have a problem with 15A (max) LED lighting for my living room. The 30A PSU I used had an internal fan that kicked on when the PSU warmed up. annoyed. I bought this device for 300 watts. Difficult! It appears to be filled with some type of putty or sealant. Slight smell of new plastic (from inside) before I turned it on. Maybe an internal potting compound? No instructions other than a label that made it very clear which wire was IN and which was OUT. There are no wiring problems. Since I only wanted to drive a 180W device, I thought of paralleling multiple output channels to share the load. BUT my Fluke ohmmeter indicated that on my model (300W) all 3 channels were already internally shorted in parallel. Unit. That is, each +12 output has measured 0 ohms (short) to every other +12 output, and each GND (-) output has been shorted to every other GND. (All measurements while nothing is connected). So I just used one of the output cords for my light - and no problem. Nice and quiet. Almost does not heat up after 5 hours of operation. Beautiful construction, heavy extruded aluminum, ribbed outer shell. Happy.
