Traveling around Europe I noticed that all expensive hotels serve loose tea in these bags and fell in love with it. This is an extremely convenient way to enjoy loose leaf tea without the hassle of cleaning the tea infuser. While the screen needs to be washed, the bag is said to save water. They are made from Manila hemp, a renewable resource that grows quickly. They also appear to be compostable and should break down easily over time. The pouches can hold quite a bit of tea and will expand downwards if you are making a large batch or if you like very strong tea. Would definitely recommend if you like loose tea but have trouble cleaning the fine mesh filters.
