Spring Conversion Kit 97-02 Expedition

This was one of the best deals for the money! Everywhere I looked other parts sellers wanted double the price. But get tired of the instructions that come with these pens. They aren't the best and don't show pictures. But no worry; You can access videos online that will show you much more detailed step-by-step instructions on how to remove old airbags and the order in which each screw is removed. If you can do basic braking work, you can make this change. Just make sure you have the right tools before you start. Halfway to work I realized I had to rent a strut/strut compressor to fit this unit into a small space. Also note that there is no marking on the spring itself to show which is up and which is down. On my '98 Expedition, the small end of the spring is attached to the top of the chassis. Just make sure you choose the right direction for your vehicle. The entire installation took about 2 hours per side. This was due to the lack of compressor springs and markings on the springs themselves. After those two points were done, the job went very smoothly and my Expedition 98 returned to its original position.
