I bought this mirror film to keep cool in the summer. it's happening It has a slight dimming effect, but it's not as dim as some of the other brands I've seen, which is good because I didn't want my room to be too dark. The silvery color makes the sunlight look like a cloudy day. CONS: Installation is difficult. I used to apply adhesive foil and it was thicker than this mirror foil. This mirror film is also very "sticky" from the side of the window so I doubt it can be removed and re-sticked for the season as it will be difficult for you to pull it off of itself. Even though I used a very wet window, I also had trouble removing the bubbles. Overall I would recommend this product but I may have an extra person installing it.
