I am very happy with this scale. I've sold a lot of stuff on eBay and the kitchen scale I used just wasn't good enough when I had something big or heavy. I constantly connected this scale to the network, I did not use it on battery power. I'd like it to turn off automatically when idle, but I guess I just have to remember to turn it off when I'm done. This was useful for other purposes as they measure so much weight and the hold feature was a big reason I bought this scale. One thing to remember: press the hold button, then place an item on the scale and wait for a beep before removing the item. The weight is displayed. I first reached under the item and pressed the hold button, and then it reset to zero after I removed the item. I thought it was broken but I just had to read the instructions! You can also add or remove items on the scale after the beep and the new weight will be recalculated each time you wait for the beep.
