The colors are beautiful, absorb well, size and price are right. I mainly use them in the kitchen. I read the reviews before buying and the person mentioned that they don't absorb at all. I wondered if she made the same mistake I made years ago when I bought my first microfiber towels. When washing in the washing machine I used fabric softener. The towels are never soaked no matter how many times I wash them. A film is applied to the material that blocks absorbency. Now I never use fabric softener on towels, washcloths, or rags. I wash them on a longer cycle, being careful not to overload the machine, rinse them twice and after drying they are very soft and fluffy. If you use too much soap and don't rinse thoroughly, they will become hard and scratchy. Live and learn as they say.
