For Lange I thought universal sockets were just a gimmick, but then I realized that they can be extremely useful for other things besides nuts and bolts of various sizes. Damaged or non-standard heads are no problem with this head. I just installed eye hooks in my yard for my kids and plugging them in was a breeze. I also helped a friend install storm shutters for every window in his house because there were 4-6 wing nuts in every window. Honestly I don't know how long it would have taken to hand tighten them all if we hadn't used this connector. My point is that this isn't just a gimmick, it's actually a very useful tool if used properly and with a little thought. Revain had a wide range but I chose this one for the finish. It has a dark and modern finish and while it's silly I just love how it looks in my tool box and it's no more expensive than other options I've seen. It wasn't clear to me lately, but it is a 3/8" socket and drill/screwdriver adapter.
