After reading reviews of other similar products I was concerned that this aftermarket tool would not be strong enough. Well it was definitely strong enough and worked perfectly to replace twelve roller tappets on my 2007 Ford Expedition 5.4L 3V. The positioning of the tool is important, if it is in the right place, the valve spring can be compressed by hand by turning the handle without using a wrench. Some of the cams had to be turned by turning the crank to remove the roller followers. The truck had a loud and constant ticking noise coming from the passenger side, the loudest was under the car and almost sounded like it was coming from the transfer case. Case before I placed a mechanical stethoscope on it and pointed right at the back of the valve train. One of the roller tappets (farthest back on the passenger side) was found to be sticking, several others showed signs of wear. All replaced with new OEM ones and the problem is completely gone. When this was done the truck had 289,000 miles and has been running great since the 1,000 mile repair.
