Review on Wi-Fi signal amplifier (repeater) Xiaomi Mi Wi-Fi Range Extender Pro CN, black by Adam Czajkowski ᠌

Money to nowhere, poor quality of the goods.

The first repeater functioned for a very long time—one year and seven months—which is a strong indicator of quality; but, just recently it started giving an error that said "Bring the phone closer to the router" (which was not the case previously). I exhausted all of my options, but I was unable to find a solution to this issue; so, I assumed that I had to give up and purchase a replacement. I removed it from the packaging and immediately began the configuration process using the Mi Home app. It continued to give the same problem up until the very end (the router has been unchanged ever since the first purchase of the repeater). After that, I gave the money back that I had used to purchase it and instead purchased a more expensive one from TP-Link. Do not let a low price fool you; rather, invest in a more expensive repeater that comes with detailed instructions on how to set it up, and you will avoid any issues in the future.

Pros
  • Price (up to one thousand dollars), reliability, and stability of wireless relaying
Cons
  • Chinese plug (an adapter is required), the setup process is difficult to understand for many people, and there are bugs with the exclusive Mi Home program (both on Android and iPadOS, iOS).
