This machine cuts eggs perfectly. I wasn't looking for an egg slicer that I could pass on to my great-grandchildren. I have one of these. If I leave, I don't mind if those who are left sell it at a flea market. Great for slicing eggs, although the egg cannot be easily rotated to slice the other way, but it will work. I just made this with a six egg salad. I agree with the person who said it would be nice if a cleaning brush came with it. It may take some time for the egg to pop out of nooks and crannies. I don't see a way to use it for veggies and fruits. I think it would be quicker to cut these things with a knife.
