OMG what a challenge!

I'm pretty smart, but installing this bike computer drove me crazy! The biggest pain is its programming. Instructions are inaccurate/incomplete/incomprehensible. As a result, I had to start over a dozen times before I figured out how to press the right buttons in exactly the right order to move from one setting to the next to set the bike's tire circumference, miles/km, time. etc. Once you go too far, he won't let you back - ever. The only way to start over is to remove and replace the battery. This removes ALL the settings and worries me because when it comes time to change the battery it means I'll have to completely reprogram the thing. Pooh! One setting is tire circumference. This is a measurement across the outside of the tire. He will tell you how to do this conveniently by measuring the distance between two marks on the floor. But you need to know the circumference in millimeters. They give you a well-worn way to get it. But it's much easier to do this using google to convert inches to millimeters. It instructs you to pass a magnet (attached to the tire's spokes) over the sensor to make sure it works, and then install the sensor. to the front fork no more than 3 mm away from the magnet on the spoke. But for this to snap into place, the magnet (on the spokes) has to almost TOUCH the sensor. It's hard to literally get within a hair's breadth of it without hitting it every time the hoop spins. All in all, this is a good price. But I think the other reviewers are right that you get what you pay for. I'd rather pay another $5 or so and get a bike computer that's easier to program and install, although all I need is a basic speedometer and odometer. I write honest reviews to help others make informed purchases because I read reviews myself and know how helpful they can be. I hope my review helped you!
