Excellent heating. For the smaller, thin size, it generates a lot of heat. We used it as the main heat source in a large room and I was very impressed with it. It quickly heats up the room and gets warm. It also helps to protect neighboring rooms/rooms from the cold. We have oil heating, which is very expensive in a large (old) house. Our house used to be an old school house. 3 floors, 4 bedrooms, very large rooms and high ceilings. I haven't turned on the oven yet. I used heaters. Of course, heat rises upwards, so using it below benefits those above and keeps out the cold well, so we don't need to use heaters upstairs (yet, anyway). The outside temperature was about 30 degrees. I put it in the dining room and as soon as that room warmed up, the heat poured out into the hall and really made a big difference. I have heaters in the kitchen and living room. The knee is the kitchen that helps the most due to the layout of the house and the location of the steps upstairs. That heat flows there, but not so much back, into the hallway that leads to the dining room, laundry room, and one of the bathrooms. The heater in the living room basically only heats that room as it is a more enclosed space. It has French sliding glass doors located where they meet the kitchen and on the other side where they meet the same hallway that opens into the dining room. There is also a set of regular French doors that open into the living room from the dining room. We keep them all closed except for the secret door that leads to the kitchen. So the living room is basically closed and most of the time the heat stays there. I mention all of this just to say that the difference this Pelonis heater has made is very noticeable because the hallway and back of the house are now warmer just because it's in the dining room. You no longer get a cold walking from the kitchen to the hallway and laundry room because the heat from the dining room now escapes to those areas. All thanks to this little heater. It's easy to install and use. The remote control is nice to have, but I just set it, forgot it, and let go. The thin block fits nicely in a corner without getting in the way, and still gets the heat out where it's needed. It seems like a great device, especially considering the price, which is now around sixty dollars.
