Great router! for computers and accessories

I deliberately waited a month before evaluating this router. Got it in a deal of the day otherwise it would probably be out of my price range (or needs). I work from home, have 8 desktops/laptops, 2 printers, security cameras, various tablets and smartphones, smart TVs and devices, Netflix, Revain Instant Video, etc. My needs are greater than most, but still not necessarily so extensive I need this router. But I got a good price and decided to go broke. I was not disappointed. This router replaced a Belkin RT68U that was about 3 years old, so I usually buy high end routers. Setup: easy and fast. I set up the network name and passwords exactly as they were on my old router and all my connected devices without having to reconfigure them. It saved a lot of time. Installation time was less than 20 minutes including cabling, configuration and firmware updates. Speed: I have Xfinity (Comcast). I ran a speed test (wired and non-wired). The download speed has been increased from 80 Mbit/s to 180 Mbit/s and the upload speed from 25 to 40 Mbit/s. These speeds may vary and I only ran the test once. Range: great. There is no other word for that. I placed the router on the middle floor, in the same spot as the old Belkin. Now I have 5 bars on the top floor and the basement and 4 bars in the extreme corners of both. I have a fairly large yard (3/4 acre) and am wired all over the yard. Features I like: Linksys Smart Wifi lets you connect to your router and set up notifications from anywhere. Static IP: Reserve an IP address for a device (e.g. CCTV cameras, printers, etc.) by simply clicking on the device on the network map and selecting a DHCP reservation address. Can't say I've used many of the advanced features I paid for, but I get there. I hope this review was helpful.
