on my bike for 2 months. My only regret is that I didn't clip it to my bike the day I got it from the store. My bike is a Trek Domane SL7 in matte gray. The matte finish is almost invisible on my bike. To wear it you have to learn. Start in a small area, like the top of the seat tube. This band doesn't seem to like the intricate curves like around the hub. Works best with multiple cut pieces to eliminate complex curves. Did a good job with a large stripe on the front pipe. So far it hasn't come off anywhere but I followed the directions and left it on for 24 hours before the trip. Easy to clean with a damp cloth. Protects well from chipped slate, which Michigan officials say is a good substitute for a real paved road. None of those razor-sharp little pieces made it through the tape. Article: PROTECTION! Does not affect the appearance of the motorcycle. Not too difficult to use. Highly customizable (cut and fit as desired). Cons: Learning curve for best results. (Again: start small so you don't waste a lot of tape while learning). One final note: I'm wondering if this helps protect my machine. Looks strong enough.
