Review on πŸš— XXL Sedan Car Weather Cover by Amazon Basics by Jarrett Love

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Two important parts are missing

Lid is ok. It looks like good enough stuff and should do the job. However, there are only 2 cord eyelets holding the lid in place. They are parallel along each side. 4 grommets are needed (if your car is outside and there are gusts of wind). The package should also include rubber cords to connect the eyelets. Here is my experience: I covered my Camry with a cover. Fits well, easy to make. So far, so good. Luckily I had some elastic strings I could clip together to hold the lid. However, later that day I saw that the cover on the front of the car was crumpled. A center bungee cord will not prevent the back (or front) cover from lifting. OK. I found 2 clips (all I had) and attached them to the rear bumper lip, holding the rear end of the cover between them. This prevented the back of the lid from coming loose, but the next morning I saw that the front of the lid had lifted. Of course, the neighbor's dog pissed on the blanket during this time. Spring. So I took a clip and moved it to the front and left one to the back and hopefully enough to hold the lid until I can get out (during the coronavirus lockdown) to check out Walmart where they keep the clips (household items? Kitchen utensils). ? stationery?). What the manufacturer should have done was 1) provide at least 4 sockets. I would suggest one in front of the rear wheel and one behind the rear wheel. This should snap the back cover into place. Then the same for the front wheels. And 2) include bungee cords with the product. The buyer should have everything necessary to use the product and not need to go to the store. There's a so-called rule of the last inch: resist the temptation to be sloppy with the finishing touches. This company did not follow this rule. Hence 3 stars, not 5. And that's before I take the dog pee off the cover.
