This is not your father's master locksmith. I purchased this lock in 2015 and have used it sparingly when towing a utility trailer, boat and snowmobile. but after being towed away one afternoon, the key would not go in the lock. The first switch was locked, I've used WD-40 to no avail. I then tried inserting the key and hitting it with a hammer, but the key is stamped from a very soft metal and bends easily. At this point I was very upset and was about to cancel it. I couldn't get a good angle with the saws - anything I would be comfortable with without damaging the car's bumper. I took a step back and looked at the problem again, grabbed a short piece of chain link fence post and slipped it over the lock, pulled and in 2 seconds with surprisingly little effort the thing snapped like a twig. Locks as a crime prevention opportunity, and I understand that a professional thief would have the tools to take what he wants, but the ease of breaking it was disconcerting, to say the least. With all the "universal" products, I usually turn them down. and buy brands. But this experience took away my confidence in the Master Lock brand.
