Very dissatisfied. When I first tried to use it, I had to fiddle with the key for ages to open the lock. Tried the second button with this camera and same problem. Came back here to Revain and clicked to return the item as defective and got the message 'This product cannot be returned'. I've never seen this message from Revain, but I think the seller knows it's a crappy product and doesn't want to take it back.

Key is flimsy junk, best in hitch locks

I don't know how well the rest of the lock works, from what I can see it looks solid enough but literally on first use when I insert the key the key just bent in the lock and broke off. Looks like cheap aluminum or something. I can only imagine how frustrating it would be if the key separated like that when locked on the hitch. I'm amazed that something that looks like hard work can have such a cheap and weak but important component. Note. The Revain system told me that the return policy means…

Very difficult to lock correctly

Always requires multiple lock attempts. Plugged it in Saturday morning and I was sure it was tight. The lock fell off before I was on the street. The pin slipped out after about 30 minutes at 60 mph. My trailer bounced on the freeway after damaging my blazer and by the grace of God the safety chains held. By sheer coincidence I ended up in the right lane at the exit and had the original pin in my car so I pulled into the exit area. I was able to jack up the trailer, hitch it up and take it to a

This is absolute crap and deserves ZERO STARS.

What a huge waste of time and money! don't waste yours Drum mechanism broke on SECOND USE. I removed the lock to test fit it to the hitch and then fitted it to the hitch. After that, it could be fully unlocked. After searching the internet for solutions and tips and trying to move the wrench in many different ways, I took it to my mechanic neighbor. He laughed and said he sees these cheap tills there all the time and "watches it". He then pulls out the Sawzall and completely shears the bolt off

My bike rack (Allen Sports Deluxe 4-Bike Hitch Mount Rack with 2" Receiver) is after the Installation very wobbly It doesn't fit snugly like a regular hitch pin The diameter of this locking pin fits the hole snugly, but the extra length of the pin (and no nut to tighten) means the bike rack wobbles a lot I have one normal pin inserted and nut tightened, my handset will not hang out again, it is very tight. This lock is useless if you have the same bike rack. I also suspect it would be much…

I figured I couldn't go wrong with the main lock. I was wrong!

I bought this lock in January of this year and it has stuck. I tried letting it dry with penetrating oil for over a week but nothing worked and I had to cut it open. Really sad because I thought Master Lock was the best out there. I've read in other reviews that some kind of lube is used to prevent this. it would be nice to know when i bought it! Thank you Master Lock! UPDATE 5/28/16: After writing a review on this lock I decided to contact Master Lock to inquire about the warranty. It has a…

Bring the phone, you will need it.

This is not your father's master locksmith. I purchased this lock in 2015 and have used it sparingly when towing a utility trailer, boat and snowmobile. but after being towed away one afternoon, the key would not go in the lock. The first switch was locked, I've used WD-40 to no avail. I then tried inserting the key and hitting it with a hammer, but the key is stamped from a very soft metal and bends easily. At this point I was very upset and was about to cancel it. I couldn't get a good angle…

Corrosion has ruined the lock

I've had this lock for almost a year now. It has worked fine until today (6/1/16). The last time I unlocked it was in the fall. It always has a rubber keyhole cover. I live in East Tennessee, so our roads don't get a lot of salt, and even if they do, shouldn't the locking mechanism resist corrosion? So today I went to photograph the castle. I found the key didn't fit in the keyhole. Upon inspection, I found corrosion at the very top of the keyhole. I made a small pickaxe out of a piece of…

How to unlock this lock!

Most of you already know (and have probably tried) this 'trick', but that's all there is to do when that lock is frozen to your trailer or hitch. Just squirt some WD-40 in the keyhole and wait 20 minutes. If possible, turn the lock so the keyhole is up so the grease doesn't spill out while you wait. The tricky part will probably be getting the key all the way in to make it turn. Firmly rock it back and forth until the key is fully seated, then cross your fingers and twist. In my experience with
