Always requires multiple lock attempts. Plugged it in Saturday morning and I was sure it was tight. The lock fell off before I was on the street. The pin slipped out after about 30 minutes at 60 mph. My trailer bounced on the freeway after damaging my blazer and by the grace of God the safety chains held. By sheer coincidence I ended up in the right lane at the exit and had the original pin in my car so I pulled into the exit area. I was able to jack up the trailer, hitch it up and take it to a service station to fix the broken wire. I later lost my 7 pin to 4 adapter and am pretty sure that incident caused it to be lost. It looks good, but it's very finicky and could kill someone if it fails.
