I was so tired of the splatter all over my counters when I had to use the Saute function on my instant pot for browning up food. A "splatter guard" (wire mesh generic cover) slowed the splatter, but there was still food juice every where. I decided to chance this little cover, and dang it works good. No more food juice shrapnel and slip hazards (yes, my floor got splatter too). I use my pot a lot, and everything seems to need to be sauted before pressure cooked, and this lid works PERFECT for keeping the food juice in the pot. It is also nice to use to keep food from drying out after cooking and before 2nd servings (because y'all know that instant pot makes good food everyone goes back for 2nds). Cleanup has been easy so far after about 15 uses.
