I have ordered this tape twice as it is perfect for attaching mats to hardwood floors. We have dogs and various mats conveniently placed so they don't slip or fall off. I got tired of constantly putting things back in place after everyone ran around ordering that duct tape to secure everything. I've used it with long treadmill mats with a hard backing with hard microdots that I didn't think would hold up, but it worked great. I have used it with my kitchen gel mats, again no slipping. I've also used it with a yoga mat as a kitchen mat in front of our dog bowls. Everything has held up perfectly, even with spills and accidents around the home. I just swapped out a couple of mats and was able to pull everything out easily and the tape came off my hardwood floors without leaving any marks. I usually place large pieces (12-18 inches) around all four edges of the mats about 2-4 inches from the edges.
