🦆 Duck Brand Double-Sided Duct Tape, Blue - 1.4" x 12 Yards: Get Strong Adhesion in a Single Roll! Review

I used this to glue new carpet around my bed. First I applied blue painters tape and then double sided duck tape over it. Then I pressed the mat onto the tape. I was afraid to put Duck double sided tape directly on the wooden floor. It seems strong enough to remove some of the wood paneling! So the blue tape protects the floor while the duck tape keeps the rug in place. It's been 2 years and so far so good.

I bought this to route cables for my PC. I have a lot of peripherals with power adapters that I wanted to attach to the underside of my desk. . This double-sided tape is completely useless. These stones are not that heavy and NONE will stay in place. I attached 5 bricks of different sizes and after 20 minutes ZERO stayed in place, they just fell down one by one. For now I'm just going down the screed route for my little project.

I'm not sure how anyone looking at this could give a positive review let alone 5 stars. shouldn't get any stars. In fact, I suspect these are fake reviews. 1) It is almost impossible to remove the protective film from the tape. I screwed up bit by bit just to get to both sides. 2) In the end, after removing the backing, it was really difficult to work with because the tape is paper thin. 3) And of course it doesn't last. This stuff is pathetic because it just doesn't stick or do the job it's designed to do; namely holding two objects together. I bought this after such dismal results with double sided tape, thinking that a heavier tape like duct tape would get the job done, but unfortunately I was wrong. It's no better than duct tape that failed miserably. I have ordered this tape twice as it is perfect for attaching mats to hardwood floors. We have dogs and various mats conveniently placed so they don't slip or fall off. I got tired of constantly putting things back in place after everyone ran around ordering that duct tape to secure everything.
