Review on πŸ”§ Lisle 13200 Universal Oil Pressure Sending Unit Socket: The Perfect Tool for Efficient Oil Pressure Unit Maintenance by Jason Wilson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A must for work!

Replaced the oil pressure sensor on a 2008 Chevy Trailblazer with a 5.3. The manuals and my shop indicated that the intake manifold had to be removed to replace the switch. (About $800 plus) My Tube videos suggested that you remove fuel lines, vacuum lines, and a variety of other things instead of doing this job. Neither was the case in this particular application. Maybe with others. I could see my flashlight switch and could reach out and touch it. I recommend you try this. Many reviews raved about this outlet, as did this one. It fits the derailleur perfectly, which greatly reduces the chance of breaking a new derailleur. This is a 3/8 drive, just what you need. Bonus and most important? It's made right here in our great country! It was way better than using a standard outlet. First I plugged the socket into the transmitter by hand, a little "felt". I was able to place my long handled ratchet with a built in swivel right onto the socket and gently maneuver to loosen the old one and finally tighten the new knot. Also, for the record, my 2008 Chevy 5.3 had a small filter. I bought the transmitter unit, filter and this GM jack (highly recommended instead of the aftermarket) for about $50 which saved me over $750! Looks like I'll have to take "Old Bag" out to dinner now! The GM derailleur was about half the price from dealers and GM parts stores. As many have said, do yourself a favor and spend $5 on a filter. It could be a clogged filter spewing out code.
