A GOOD rating to follow! First, it is NOT the best choice for PERFECT scanning of photos or delicate documents. It works great with photos and newspaper clippings and ONLY works with letter-size color or black and white material. It scans flight/fax, OCR or color images at up to 600 dpi. If you are careful, you can easily feed sheets into this machine. Be patient. It has a built-in software application that allows you to conveniently scan multiple consecutive sheets into one document. But you can share the pages later! Relax. Or you can combine different scans into one document later. Cooler! Photo editing software is damn good. Why? Because it has a decent set of tools but isn't too difficult to use. You can also use it as a desktop file system. Some versions of Paperport software export scans to PDF! When you understand what that means, you will jump for joy. But do you know where strobe REALLY excels? You can quickly scan a document, drag it into Word and about 95% of it will be instantly recognized as an editable Word file. Very few reprints. How often do you need information on your computer at school or work that is only available on paper? Wow! And you did it in about 30 seconds. The strobe isn't perfect, but it's good enough for many tasks not to realize it's not the best solution for ONE task. But that's a 90% fix for a TON of jobs! Buy it. You will not regret it.
