I bought this because I didn't want safety glass. This is not tempered glass. The film used to cover the screen is a soft plastic. Actually I would like to feel better but I prefer the hard plastic sheet installation which I have used in the past. Just be very careful with the installation. Once you're done, the ability to create bubbles is VERY limited due to the soft material. The installation actually works well as the screen protector comes with screen protectors on BOTH sides. You remove one side except for the screen protector on your device and then take care of any issues, with the other side still covering the screen protector. When you're done, remove the last piece and you'll have a good profile. Good thing it came in 2 packs, took me 2 times to get it right.
