Review on 🌊 SUN Microsystems Jvp Series Submersible Circulation Powerhead Pump - 800 GPH (2 Pieces) by Christine Rowe

Good pair of circulation pumps for my 150 gallon aquarium

I have a sparsely planted 150 gallon aquarium with a few large decorative items. I have 2 canister filters but returning them doesn't create much water movement in my tank. All water movement was previously mapped to 330 gallons per hour head and it just wasn't enough. There were dead zones everywhere I put it. Enter them. I first placed one where the powerhead was and immediately noticed it was a big improvement. I placed the other on the opposite end of the tank and positioned it to hit some of the problem areas I had previously. My water has gone cloudy with all this hidden debris kicked up. (I also moved some of the decor around) A few hours later my canister filters did a pretty decent job of cleaning the water. There was also a fairly noticeable hum when I first turned them on. In moments it became indistinguishable from the noise around my house. Two things: The cables are very short. I had to tie them to an extension cord to plug them into my extension cord. The power supply is mounted on the inside of the stand at the top, so I always have a "drip loop" available. Can't figure out why the cable is so short, they are way too strong for a much smaller tank. I'm giving one star because of the risk I have to take. They are also very big. The cage overshadows the props inside. I don't know if there's a reason it has to be so big, but reducing the pump would definitely be a big improvement.
