My Sears service specialist recommended I buy this product and use it monthly. He claims that the stainless steel tub is surrounded by a plastic tub and needs a refreshment that regular vinegar can't match. This product claims you can use it when washing dishes, but I prefer not to risk chemical detergent on my dishes, so do it on your own cycle. I have a Bosch dishwasher with a stainless steel pan. I used to use vinegar to freshen it up, but now I'll use it. Seems like a great job. The entire tablet dissolved at the end of the cycle. I can recommend this dishwashing detergent for use in dishwashers.
